Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) will deliver specialist electrical services at Inch Cape Offshore Limited in Edinburgh.
Inch Cape Offshore Limited (ICOL), a subsidiary of Edinburgh based energy company, Red Rock Power Limited. It reached an agreement with East Lothian Council to purchase a small part of the former Cockenzie Power Station site.
Work began at the brownfield site in January 2024, with construction of the site infrastructure and the onshore substation (and associated buildings) in readiness for the arrival of the electrical equipment including transformers and cables to transport the renewable energy generated by the Inch Cape offshore wind farm.
The Inch Cape offshore wind farm will feature 72 Vestas V236-15.0 MW turbines located 15 kilometres off the Angus coast. The power it generates will enter the national transmission system at Cockenzie. The project will be one of Scotland’s largest offshore wind farms once completed. It has capacity to generate enough green energy to power the equivalent of half the homes in the country.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install, test and commission the power earthing system for the new offshore wind farm.
