Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a project to deliver specialist fire solutions, specifically, fire alarm cause and effect testing for a prominent British brand of high-end department stores.

The first of the stores was opened in 1864 in Oxford Street, London. There are now 35 stores throughout Great Britain. The first of the brand’s concession stores in Ireland opened in a Dublin Arnotts store in October 2016. In the same year, the first Australian concession store also opened.

On 1 January 2008, Queen Elizabeth II awarded the Oxford Street store a Royal Warrant. It was designated as ‘suppliers of haberdashery and household goods’

PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd, via constituent company Trinity, carried out the fire alarm cause and effect testing at all department store buildings. A cause and effect test reviews all programmed inputs/outputs to ensure the system is working as designed. The test requires the customer to provide the original matrix that would have been produced as part of the fire alarm installation.

PTSG, a preferred supplier for main contractor CBRE, delivered the work. PTSG’s engineer received praise for his patient and professional approach throughout, helping to resolve some long-outstanding issues.
