Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been awarded a contract for the delivery of specialist fire solutions at a major new development in Hackney, north-east of central London.

The final phase of the Hackney Britannia scheme will deliver 371 mixed-tenure units across four buildings of up to 25 storeys, which will include 81 affordable homes. Located next to Shoreditch Park, there will be 290 private for sale homes amongst the flats. The 81 affordable homes will be available for social rent and shared ownership.

Philip Glanville, Mayor of Hackney, said that the council’s Britannia flagship project is the realisation of the biggest public sector investment in the area in a generation. Once complete, the project will have delivered a state-of-the -art new leisure centre. It will also provide a new secondary school for 1,100 students.

In this contract, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will provide residential sprinklers for the new homes in the Britannia project, as well as wet risers. Rising mains in buildings can be either filled with water (wet riser) or left dry (dry riser). In combination with residential sprinklers, PTSG will have provided a robust fire safety strategy for Britannia residents.
