Welcome to Inside PTSG.
It has been reported that the new government has pledged a huge ‘workplace shake-up’. The pledge is “to put partnership working with employers and trade unions at the heart of its plans to transform the economy”.
The workplace is an area in which PTSG has always been closely involved, with all five of our business divisions making a real and measurable contribution to the performance of organisations.
King Charles presented the new government’s legislative agenda in the House of Lords this week (17 July). He also said the administration “will seek to establish the appropriate legislation to place requirements on those working to develop the most powerful artificial intelligence models”.
In this month’s issue, there’s a special insight into lightning protection. There remains a great deal of misunderstanding around lightning and the potentially devastating effects of a strike on people, property and places. Our engineers have vast expertise and experience in proving lightning protection and ongoing test and inspection to ensure systems remain compliant and fully operational.
There’s also the usual round-up of news from across the Group as well as a closer look at one of the extraordinary buildings we have worked on recently.
I wish you all the best and look forward to keeping you informed of further updates from throughout the Group.
Best wishes
Paul Teasdale
