Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at an exciting new development in Acton, West London.
The new Brook House block in Acton is being developed as a 15-storey residential tower with 102 one-and-two-bedroom homes for single women housed through Women’s Pioneer Housing (WPH).
Ealing Council granted planning permission, with 12 votes in favour and one against, despite the scheme provoking controversy among local residents over the tower’s height. The plans aim to particularly support those who face inequality, abuse and disadvantages, especially in the housing market.
Located on Gunnersbury Lane opposite Acton Town underground station, the existing building was originally built in the 1930s. More blocks were added in the ’70s. Many of the buildings are nearing the end of their build-life and are not suitable for refurbishment.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a brand-new lightning protection system at the development. This will protect both the structure and all users in the event of an electrical storm.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection services. It is also thought to be one of the oldest. JW Gray, which became part of PTSG in 2015, began trading in 1835. This makes it one of the oldest trading provider of lightning protection services in the UK and possible even Europe.
