Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed an emergency specialist scaffolding project to an industrial chimney at a site in the east of England.

Specialist access was required at a recycling plant in order to carry out critical concrete repairs to the chimney stack. This is because a large sections of concrete were falling from the chimney shell. This risks the safety of property and personnel directly below.

Steeplejacks from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd installed scaffolding to contain the areas and make safe the structure. A temporary access cradle was installed to survey the remaining shell and carry out repairs to the concrete.

The work was initiated by a plant engineer, who identified concrete lying at ground level during a plant walk-round. The chimney is now repaired, and all access equipment has now been removed from the chimney.

One of the great advantages offered by PTSG is its ability to provide emergency specialist services for customers at a moment’s notice. This is made possible through its extensive coverage of the UK (47 office locations). Over 2,700 PTSG specialists work across five independent business divisions.
