Fire doors are an essential component of fire safety in buildings. Their importance has been underlined by the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, which came into effect on 23rd January 2023 under Article 24 of the Fire Safety Order 2005.
The Fire Safety Order applies to all premises including workplaces and the common parts of all multi-occupied residential buildings, encompassing the building’s structure, external walls and any common parts of premises including all flat entrance doors for buildings containing two or more sets of domestic premises.
Fire doors are essential in any Building Manager’s or Duty Holder’s passive fire strategy in commercial and residential buildings. They are specially designed to play a critical role in containing and slowing the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases within a building.

Once released, this data is issued as part of a comprehensive suite of building management information. Using our field-based i-Audit system, we also provide fire door surveys.
