PTSG is privileged to work on some of the UK’s most outstanding and iconic buildings. From historic castles and monuments to cutting-edge skyscrapers, we are proud to play our part in ensuring they are safe and protected, clean and operationally efficient.
Legoland Windsor opened on 17th March 1996 and is currently operated by Merlin Entertainments. Attractions consist of a mixture of Lego-themed rides, models, and building workshops targeted at children between three and twelve.
Legoland Windsor regularly draws more attendees than the original Legoland Billund Resort in Denmark; in 2011, it became the tenth-most popular theme park in Europe, a position it has held every year since. Legoland Windsor typically opens from March to January, with closures on some days.
The park is split into 12 themed lands, incorporating various attractions, restaurants and shops: The Beginning, Duplo Valley, Knight’s Kingdom, Lego City, Miniland, Lego Ninjago World, Pirate Shores, Heartlake City, Kingdom of the Pharaohs, Land of the Vikings, Imagination, Lego Mythica: World of Mythical Creatures.
In a recent contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd completed a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the theme park, in compliance with British standards. If any areas are found to need maintenance in such inspections, PTSG’s engineers are fully trained and experienced to carry out the necessary work to ensure the system remains fully operational.
Merlin Entertainments also manages Blackpool Tower, where PTSG’s Building Access Specialists replced and renewed structural steelwork in 2019 – the first time in the tower’s 125-year history that such work had been undertaken. Phase II of the contract between PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd (Pendrich) and Blackpool Council is to provide ongoing maintenance work, with the contract being renewed after each one-year period.
