Premier Technical Services Group (PTSG) has secured a contract to deliver specialist electrical services at a new manufacturing hub in Peterborough which will see the creation of 280 jobs.
Peterborough City Council approved plans for a multi-million-pound hub for manufacturing aluminium beverage cans earlier in 2022. The 625,000-square-feet facility is to be built on a 30-acre derelict site in Woodston, formerly occupied by Mars Petcare.
The new site in Peterborough is expected to be the largest manufacturing facility in Europe. Aluminium beverage cans are amongst the most sustainable types of packaging for consumable goods and increasingly preferred by customers and consumers alike.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will design, supply and install a brand-new lightning protection system at the new facility.
