Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a specialist electrical services contract for the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS).
The Jack Copland Centre in Edinburgh is the national centre for the SNBTS, providing blood, tissue and cell manufacturing and testing facilities for Scotland. It is named after the founder of the first Scottish blood transfusion service in 1930.
The centre was officially opened ahead of the NHS’s 70th birthday tomorrow, 5 July 2018. As well as strengthening the service’s ability to meet the needs of patients in Scotland, the centre also reflects SNBTS’ aims to become a more sustainable service, both now and for the future. The building received a BREEAM Very Good rating upon completion.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd have completed a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the facility. Such procedures are required by law on an annual basis to ensure that systems are in full operational order or whether they require any maintenance work.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning and surge protection services. Its teams deliver design and installation, testing and inspection and repairs and upgrades to systems at premises in every industry sector.
