Welcome
Hello and welcome to the latest edition of Inside PTSG. I hope you and your families are continuing to stay well.
It was pleasing to see the remaining coronavirus restrictions eased across England on 19th July. This has seen a great many businesses have resumed trading as usual again. Of course it will take some time for the UK economy to recover, but it’s a very positive step. Like everyone else, we will continue to proceed with cautious optimism, as MPs are still encouraging people to wear face coverings in enclosed places and not to rush to return to the office.
PTSG’s engineers are now operating at full strength at sites across the UK in all five business divisions, including our newest: PTSG Water Treatment Ltd. As the title of Inside PTSG says, our services now encompass all four elements, the others being fire solutions, earth (electrical services) and air – working at height.
I’m delighted to announce that the team at our Glasgow office has recently received a RoSPA Winner of the Water Sector Award for 2020. We couldn’t have wished for a better endorsement of our new service line.
This month’s Project looks at the work some of our steeplejack engineers have been doing at the British Steel headquarters in Scunthorpe. For more than 150 years, the steel industry has been the lifeblood of Scunthorpe, so we’re delighted to play our part in helping to keep the site safe and operational.
I wish you all the best and look forward to keeping you informed of further updates from the business.
Best wishes
Paul Teasdale
