Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a contract to provide lightning protection repairs at Ikea’s Exeter store.
It is the latest contract which strengthens a growing business relationship between the two organisations. In Autumn last year, PTSG provided vital access and safety equipment at the Exeter store following the first Covid-19 lockdown.
In this project, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd – one of the Group’s four business divisions – carried out repairs to the lightning protection system in place at the store in Devon.
Ikea is of course a Swedish multi-national conglomerate that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories, among other useful goods and occasionally home services. In the UK, there are 27 Ikea stores, but expansion has now shifted from its big-box format to smaller store formats – urban, pick-up and pop-up.
In 2017, engineers from the Group’s Electrical Services division installed a lightning protection system at Ikea’s Sheffield store situated next to the Meadowhall Retail Park. This is typical of the way that the Group can – and does – undertake many different specialist services to meet the complete requirements of its customers.
