Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is currently performing a full programme of cleaning and maintenance works at the Prudential administrative centre in Reading.
The building, known locally as “The Pru”, opened in 1990, employing around 600 people for the Prudential – the British multi-national insurance company headquartered in London.
Engineers from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd are performing the following works:
• External roof survey
• Gutter cleaning
• Conditioning survey
• Specialist cleaning to gutters and internal roof atrium
All works were performed using a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP). This is a versatile method of accessing a building and is generally chosen instead of scaffolding.
In recent projects, drones have offered a further advantage to PTSG’s customers as they produce highly detailed video and photographic footage of all parts of a building’s exterior. They are extremely versatile, quick and easy to use and relatively inexpensive.
