Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed specialist electrical tests at the Doug Ellis Sports Centre in Perry Barr, Birmingham.
The £7m leisure facility features a fitness suite, sports hall, workout studios and team changing facilities. The centre opened in January 2010 and caters for Birmingham City University students, Birmingham City University staff and the general public.
The Doug Ellis Sports Centre takes the approach of helping ‘more people, become more active, more often’. This means establishing the sports centre as community hubs and providing opportunities to participate in a range of sports.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd were contracted to carry out a periodic test and inspection of the lightning protection in place at the centre. This will determine if it is operationally efficient or whether any repairs are required to ensure it remains compliant with industry regulations.
