Guardian Electrical Compliance Ltd (Guardian), a constituent company of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), has secured a major order with BAE Systems to provide specialist fixed wiring inspection and test programmes.
BAE Systems Submarines, known as BAE Systems Submarine Solutions until January 2012 and then BAE Systems Maritime – Submarines until 2017, is a wholly owned subsidiary of BAE Systems, based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England, and is responsible for the development and production of submarines.
It operates one of the few shipyards in the world capable of designing and building nuclear submarines, which has constructed all but three of the Royal Navy’s nuclear-powered submarines since the commissioning of HMS Dreadnought in 1963.
PTSG has built up a wide portfolio of secure operational bases, including a number of RAF sites, where engineers have installed or maintained lightning protection systems. The Group’s specialist services are also in demand overseas; in recent years, engineers provided specialist support to 12 individual site assets at the construction site of Hamad International Airport (HIA), Qatar.
