Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services to His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen.
Sited on Rosemount Viaduct, opposite the city’s Union Terrace Gardens, His Majesty’s Theatre is the largest theatre in north-east Scotland, seating more than 1,400. It was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1906.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will perform repairs to the lightning protection system, installing new earth positions in the public highway and new down conductors to the building by employing abseiling techniques.
His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen boosts the Group’s already considerable portfolio of buildings in this sector. In September 2019, engineers used abseil techniques to deliver a high-level cleaning solution to the façade of the classic redbrick Radisson Hotel in Leicester Square, London.
