Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at Sunderland Association Football Club in Tyne and Wear.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will test and inspect the lightning protection system in place at the Stadium of Light – an all-seater stadium with the capacity to hold 49,000 spectators.
Sunderland AFC plays in League One, the third tier of English football. Since its formation in 1879, the club has won six top-flight titles (1892, 1893, 1895, 1902, 1913 and 1936), a total only bettered by five other clubs, and has finished runner-up five times.
PTSG Electrical Services Ltd is the UK market leader in the provision of lightning protection services, and is a member of the Association of Technical Lightning & Access Specialists (ATLAS). It is often recommended that systems are tested at intervals of 11 inspection and testing months, meaning that across a 12-year period, the system will have been tested throughout every season of the year.
