Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG) will be sending a team of fall arrest engineers to Lancaster City Museum to recommission a ManSafe system.

PTSG carries out a great deal of work in the installation and maintenance of ManSafe systems within the Group’s Access & Safety division.

A ManSafe system is used to keep operatives safe by connecting them to the system using appropriate PPE. The system comprises cable, post and fixings that are tested to take the fall of the user. The contract at Lancaster City Museum involves the testing and certification of the rooftop system, providing reliable fall protection for roof users.

The City Museum is housed in Lancaster’s former town hall, a Georgian building constructed in 1781-3. The museum itself was founded in 1923 and its collections illustrate the history and archaeology of the city of Lancaster. It is also home to the King’s Own Royal Regiment Museum.
