Premier Technical Services Group PLC (PTSG)’s expertise will be called on by construction company BAM at Manchester’s world class statement building No 1 Spinningfields.

PTSG will provide engineers to work alongside team Allianz, the engineering insurance provider to test and certify the prestigious site’s building maintenance units (BMUs), which are used to assist in the maintenance of the towering structure.

The team will carry out a full load test and assist Allianz with a statutory LOLER examination of two BMUs.

No 1 Spinningfields is a highlight of the Manchester skyline and comprises a podium that dramatically cantilevers over Quay Street and Byrom Street, with a smaller cantilever over the Hardman Square entrance. Built at a cost of £73m the building is based on the site of the former Quay House, Quay Street, Manchester.

PTSG’s Access and Safety team has vast experience working at the site, having previously attended to install the two large telescopic machines on the building.
