Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has returned to Manchester Airport, where its engineers have previously carried out a number of projects, to undertake a specialist Access & Safety project.

Manchester Airport is an international airport in Ringway, seven miles south-west of Manchester city centre. In 2022, it was the third busiest airport in the United Kingdom in terms of passengers and the 19th busiest airport in Europe in 2023, with 28.1 million passengers served.

The airport comprises three passenger terminals and a cargo terminal. It covers an area of 560 hectares (1,400 acres) and has flights to 199 destinations, placing the airport thirteenth globally for total destinations served.

In this contract, engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd are delivering planned preventative maintenance and associated remedial works of fall arrest systems in place at Terminals 1, 2 and 3. This will ensure they are safe and compliant with the latest British standards.

PTSG has visited Manchester Airport a number of times over the least few years, carrying out testing and inspection work at the airport’s lightning protection systems, as well as inspecting dry risers within the airport complex. With five independent divisions encompassing the full spectrum of specialist services, PTSG is able to meet the full requirements of its clients.
